Hunting Elusive Eels: An Exhilarating Flats Fishing Adventure

We had an interesting day on the flats fishing for some feisty American eels. The weather was just right, and the water conditions seemed ideal for our sight fishing adventure.

I showed my client, Kank D, some effective techniques for targeting these unique fish. We spent the day carefully scanning the flats, looking for any movement or shadows that might indicate an eel's presence. When we spotted one, it was an adrenaline rush trying to make a precise cast and get the fly in front of it.

While the eels put up a good fight, we managed to land a few. Kank seemed to really enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the challenge of sight fishing. It was a fun day on the water, and I'm glad we were able to find some cooperative fish.
